My name is Sophal Sam, I'm a proud father of three sons, and I'm the owner of the top-rated salon, Florida Nails. I never imagined opening a nail salon when I immigrated to Columbia, Missouri in 1986 as a 12-year-old refugee from Cambodia. After high school, I moved to Atlanta to learn how to do nails. My mom and dad were going to force me to work in a factory. That’s the reason why I left Columbia. At age 21, I wanted to open my own nail salon in Jacksonville, Florida. But five years later, I had to return to Columbia to take care of my parents. When I returned in 2000, I decided to open Florida Nails. Now I own two nail salons in Missouri, one in Fulton and one in Columbia.
